John Harvey Allen

John Harvey Allen is a guitarist/singer/songwriter from central Indiana. He has been performing professionally throughout much of the state for more than forty years. With a knack for reading, and working any audience, he has sharpened his craft as an entertainer, and is well suited for nearly any venue or event where top notch quality entertainment is sought.

Although John mostly performs as a soloist, audiences are typically pleasantly  surprised by the level of energy his performances yield. With a real passion for his craft, along with a deep desire to offer the best of his talents, John pours 100% of himself into every performance. To his credit, John has two CD’s he has recorded showcasing his songwriting skills, “Loud and Clear”, and “Velvet Skies.” Material from these two recordings can be found on this website. When performing John covers a material from a multitude of artists including Tom Petty, John Mellencamp, James Taylor, Credence Clearwater Revival, The Eagles, Darius Rucker, and many more recognizable favorites. It’s not at all unusual for many venues to prefer his style of entertainment over larger bands, noting that he can generally provide the same level of entertainment and energy  as a larger band for a fraction of the cost.
 

John has also managed to acquire a very loyal and supportive group of fans who  love following his shows, and bring with them their own level of energy. A good time is always had by all.
